The unit is apparently Region-free and has no macrovision out of the box, however, if power-spikes hit the
player, they can remove these options!!!
Converting the player to Multi-Region if the above happens:
1. Press 2, 1, 8, 0 and 9 on the remote.
2. Press 0.
3. Press Enter.
NB: The method may have to be repeated anything up to 5 times before it works.

Press set-up and go down until the preferences menu, Press step, back, next. Now you will have a menu where you
can change the region code or set it to bypass, activate or deactivate the Macrovision and other functions.

Power ON the DVD player
Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the Remote OR front panel - the tray will open
With the tray still open, enter "2168" on the Remote, followed by the region code.
1 USA and Canada
2 Japan and West European
3 Asia not including China and Japan
4 South America, New Zealand and Australia
5 Africa, Russia and East Europe
6 China… And 9 for All areas (Region Free)

To turn this player in multi-region mode:
Turn on the Player
Open the tray
Enter the following code from the Remote 2, 1, 6, 8, 9
Play your DVD
OMNI SP-L3000G
Press Setup.
Press 3, 8, 8, 8 and 3 on the remote.
Select Bypass for region free.
Select PAL or NTSC:
Press Setup.
Press 7, 2, 5, 5 and 5 on the remote.
You should now be able to change the output between PAL, NTSC and AUTO.
Setting CSS and Macrovision:
Press Setup.
Press 5, 9, 0, 4, 1 and 9 on the remote.
There are then two options available: CSS and Macrovision.
Macrovision allows you to set to Auto (Copy protection on), or Off (Copy protection off).
Check firmware version:
Press the SETUP button on the remote control.
Press 1, 2, 3, 4 on the remote control. Try 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 if this doesn't work.
You should now be able to see the firmware version date.
