NOTE: The remote control must point at the remote sensor, in order for the DVD player to function correctly.
Angle: Approximately 30° from each direction. Distance: Max. of 7m from the front of the remote sensor.
1. Open the player's tray.
2. Press 8, 4, 2 and 1.
3. The On Screen Display changes to region code and Macrovision setting.
4. Select the desired region code (9 = region free) and Macrovision setting with Enter.
5. Close the player's tray.

Open the players tray
Press 2, 2, 9, 6 on the players Remote Control
Press 1 button to change the player to Region 1, 2 for Region 2, 0 for Region Free

1. Power on the player and ensure the tray is empty.
2. Press Setup.
3. The setup menu should appear.
4. Select the number of the region required according to the following:
region 1: mute, stop, zoom
region 2: mute, stop, 1/all
region 3: mute, stop, A-B
region all: mute, stop, |<<
region 5: mute, stop, <<FR
region 6: mute, stop, FF

NOTE: This only works with models that have the serial number starting with HE113.
Converting this player to Multi-Region (newer firmware):
1. Turn the power on.
2. Press Open/Close.
3. Press 8, 8, 8 and 8.
4. Press Setup.
5. Press Next.
6. The "Factory Control Page" appears: select the region required, or "ALL" for region free.
7. Insert DVD, press Play.
NB: Region setting is preserved after power down.
Converting the player to Multi-Region if the above does not work:
1. Turn the power on.
2. Press Setup.
3. Press 8, 8, 8 and 8.
4. Press Next.
5. The setup screen will flash, and you will see a new button "Version". There you can change region code to 0 for
region free.
Converting this player to Multi-Region (older firmware):
1. Turn the power on.
2. Press Open/Close.
3. Press Setup.
4. Press 8, 8, 8 and 8.
5. Press Next.
6. The "Factory Control Page" appears: select the region required, or "ALL" for region free.
