Converting the player to Multi-Region if the above does not work:
1. Press Setup on the remote.
2. Highlight the TV Aspect option.
3. Place the cursor over the 16:9 Wide option.
4. Press 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3, 9 followed by Enter.
5. DO NOT change VCD settings!
Beware, although the code is not listed here, there are reports that entering a code to enable VCD playback may result
in the players firmware becoming corrupted thus making the player unusable

3. Press Stop
4. Press Skip Back, |<<

6. Select Bypass for multi-region.
