CONNECTING UP THE RECEIVER

In this chapter, you will learn how to connect up the Philips digital satellite receiver to your

existing equipment, such as a TV or VCR.

Note:

• To watch a video cassette.

We advise you, when you want to watch a video cassette, to put your receiver on stand

by.

• Digital cordless telephone.

If you have a digital cordless telephone (DECT), it may sometimes block the signal of

your receiver / TV. We advise you not to keep both appliances close to one other.

• Smart card.

Please leave your smart card in the receiver so that your subscription can be extended

every month.

• Further guarantees.

If the satellite receiver breaks down within the period of guarantee, Philips Nederland will

exchange it. In this case, the customer agrees to return the original appliance purchased.
