Operating the recorder via your
PC keyboard
0 Connect your PC keyboard to the recorder via the PC
KEYBOARD socket on the recorder front.
➜You can now enter CD Text using your PC keyboard. In
addition you can operate a number of recorder functions
via the keyboard.The following keys are available for
operating the recorder:
Pause...............................................interrupts play
Enter...............................................starts play/confirms a selection
Space..............................................stops play
Ta b ....................................................selects next menu item or
track
Shift and Ta b .............................selects previous menu item or
track
Shift ................................................selects capital characters when
entering text
Down arrow..............................selects previous menu item or
track
Up arrow.....................................selects next menu item or
track
Left arrow ..................................searches backward
Right arrow...............................searches forward
ESC...................................................cancels a selection
F1 .......................................................selects CD1
F2 .......................................................selects CD2
F3 .......................................................selects CD3
F4 .......................................................selects CDR
F5 .......................................................selects analog input (AUX
ANALOG)
F6 .......................................................selects digital coaxial input
AUX DIGITAL
F7 .......................................................selects digital optical input
(AUX OPTICAL)
F8 .......................................................selects display information/text
F9 .......................................................makes CD text scroll over
display once
F10....................................................opens Text Edit mode
Page up .........................................selects previous track (5 tracks
maximum)
Page down..................................selects next track (5 tracks
maximum)
Home .............................................goes to start of text string
End....................................................goes to end of text string
Scroll Lock.................................opens A-B Edit mode
Ins ......................................................toggles the cursor behaviour
from Insert to Overwrite next
character (Text Edit only)
Del.....................................................deletes next character (text
edit only)
Backspace ..................................deletes previous character
Notes:The keyboard LEDs do not function when the
keyboard is connected to the recorder.
Special characters (accents, ß, ø, ä, etc.) are not supported
