2 Install Install the handset 1 The batteries are pre-installed in the handset. Pull the battery tape off from the battery door before charging. 2 Place the handset on the base station to power up. Configure your phone (if necessary) 1 When you see the welcome message, press [OK], select your country, press [SELECT] to confirm. »» The country setting is saved. 2 Set the date and time. »» The phone is now ready to use. 3 Enjoy Make a call 1 Press and dial the phone number; or 2 Dial the phone number and press to dial out the call. Answer a call When the phone rings, press or to answer the call. End a call Press . Adjust the earpiece volume Press or to adjust the volume during a call.
View the phonebook 1 Press . 2 Select a contact and view the available information. Call from the phonebook 1 Press to access the phonebook. 2 Select a contact in the phonebook list. 3 Press to make the call. Listen to messages recorded on the answering machine (for CD565 only) • Switch on/off the answering machine: Press . • Start/Stop listening to the recorded messages: Press 29 . • Adjust the volume: Press + / –.
Troubleshooting No dialing tone •• Check your phone connections. The handset is out of range. Move it closer to the base station. The signal icon flashes. •• The handset is out of range. Move it closer to the base station. If the handset displays [UNREGISTERED], register the handset. The caller ID does not display. •• The service is not activated. Check with your service provider.
