1 Important Safety • Make sure that there is enough free space around the product for ventilation. • Only use attachments or accessories specified by the manufacturer. • Battery usage CAUTION – To prevent battery leakage which may result in bodily injury, property damage, or damage to the product: • Install the batteries correctly, + and - as marked on the product. • Do not mix batteries (old and new or carbon and alkaline, etc.).
To establish a safe volume level: • Set your volume control at a low setting. • Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, without distortion. Listen for reasonable periods of time: • Prolonged exposure to sound, even at normally 'safe' levels, can also cause hearing loss. • Be sure to use your equipment reasonably and take appropriate breaks. 3 Get started Connect FM antenna • Caution Before listening to radio, connect the supplied FM antenna to this device. •• Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than herein may result in hazardous laser exposure or other unsafe operation. 4 Always follow the instructions in this chapter in sequence. If you contact Philips, you will be asked for the model and serial number of this apparatus. The model number and serial number are on the back of the apparatus.
Prepare the remote control Caution Tip •• You can press CLOCK to view clock information in power-on mode. •• Risk of product damage! When the remote control is not to be used for long periods, remove the battery. To insert the remote control battery: 1 2 3 Open the battery compartment. Turn on • Insert the supplied AAA battery with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. Close the battery compartment. Press . »» The unit switches to the last selected source.
4 Play 2 Insert a USB device into the socket. »» Play starts automatically. If not, press . Play from disc 1 2 3 4 Press CD to select the DISC source. Press on the front panel to open the disc compartment. Insert a disc with the printed side facing upward. Press again to close the disc compartment. »» Play starts automatically. If not, press . Charge your device You can charge your mobile device through the USB socket on the unit with a USB cable (not supplied).

Mute or restore sound. Press SOUNDto select Balance, Clear, Powerful, Warm, or Bright. Adjust display brightness.
To stream music to the unit wirelessly, you need to pair your Bluetooth enabled device with the unit. 4 Play music on the connected device. »» Music streams from your Bluetooth enabled device to this unit. • If you fail to search for 'Philips BTB3370' or cannot pair with this unit, press and hold /PAIRING for 3 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator flashes quickly to enter pairing mode.

Note •• You can program a maximum of 20 preset radio stations (FM). 1 2 3 4 •• To remove a pre-stored station, store another station in its place. In tuner mode, press /MENU to access the FM tuner menu. »» [SCAN] is displayed. Press OK, and then press through the menu options: Note / to scroll • [STRONG] (strong stations): scan stations with strong signals only.
6 Other features Tip •• If DISC/USB source is selected, but no disc is placed or no USB connected, the unit switches to the tuner source automatically. Set the alarm timer This unit can be used as an alarm clock. You can select DISC, FM, DAB, or USB as the alarm source.
