Note •• The type plate is located on the bottom of the apparatus. If you contact the Consumer Care, you will be asked for the model and serial number of this apparatus. The model number and serial number are on the rear of the apparatus.
Install battery Caution •• Risk of explosion! Keep batteries away from heat, sunshine or fire. Never discard batteries in fire. •• Risk of product damage! When the apparatus is not used for long periods, remove the battery. •• Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly. 1 2 3 Open the battery compartment. Insert 4 x 1.5 V R14/UM2/C batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. Close the battery compartment.
Connect power Caution •• Risk of product damage! Ensure that the power supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or the underside of the unit. •• Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC power cord, always pull the plug from the socket. Press and hold PROG/AUTO SCAN. »» The hour digits begin to blink. Rotate TUNING to set the minute. Press PROG/AUTO SCAN to confirm. Turn on 1 Press 4 to turn on the radio. Listen to radio Select FM/MW band 1 2 Press to turn on the radio. Press BAND to switch between FM/MW band. Tune to a radio station 1 2 Press to turn on the radio.
To skip to previous/next radio station with strongest signal automatically: 1 2 Press PROG/AUTO SCAN. »» The radio frequency begins to blink. Rotate TUNING clockwise/counter-clockwise to skip to the next/previous radio station with strongest signal. Program radio stations automatically Note •• You can program a maximum of 10 preset FM radio stations and 10 preset MW radio stations. 1 2 Press to turn on the radio. Press and hold PROG/AUTO SCAN for 2 seconds.
