The Automatic Volume Limiter (AVL) control allows you to preset a desired volume level that the DPTV sound will not go above. This makes for an even, more consistent sound by reducing the “peaks” and “valleys” that can occur during program changes or commercial breaks.
PRONTO REMOTE NTSC/ANALOG FEATURES PRONTO - ANALOG TV MODE T he Pronto remote contains three display screens of “Analog TV” related controls. Use the touchscreen controls to access and adjust NTSC features for Input selection and Menu feature adjustments. AUDIO/VIDEO NTSC ANALOG CONNECTIONS AUX1/2 INPUTS T he Analog Audio/Video Input jacks are for direct NTSC picture and sound connections between the DPTV and auxiliary equipment (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) that has Audio/Video Output jacks.
AUDIO/VIDEO NTSC ANALOG CONNECTIONS AUX 3 INPUTS or more convenient Direct playback connections use the DPTV's Front Audio/Video Input panel (located on the DPTV's right front side panel). These Inputs allow for quick and easy access, particularly for the playback of Camcorder tape recordings. AUDIO/VIDEO DVD (COMPONENT INPUT) CONNECTIONS COMPONENT VIDEO INPUTS 2 C omponent Video Inputs provide for the highest possible color and picture resolution in the playback of digital signal source material such as with DVD players. The color difference signals (PB, PR) and the luminance (Y) signal are connected and received separately which permits for improved color bandwidth information (not possible when using composite video or S-Video connections).
SYSTEM AUDIO OUTPUT CONNECTIONS SYSTEM AUDIO OUTPUTS The System Audio Out(put) jacks send the DPTV’s current audio (ATSC, NTSC, or Monitor) to an external amplifier for output. The advantage of such an additional System Audio Out connection (as shown in this diagram) is that it could continue to route the supplied audio signals from the DPTV to an external amplifier or Pro Logic Receiver (even when the selected program source switches between a digital ATSC program, NTSC, or Monitor supplied source).
