Once the GUIDE Plus+ system Setup has been completed (See Install menu),
and a download of information has been received (usually overnight the first
time) you can start operating GUIDE Plus+.
The GUIDE Plus+ system is operated through a menu on-screen display.
The function items match the respective buttons on the remote control.
There are specific remote control buttons that are dedicated to the use of
the GUIDE Plus+ system.
The
GUIDE+, INFO+, VCR+, EXIT and the blue/green buttons are to help you
select and use the GUIDE Plus+ menus, make program selections, set VCR
recordings, and adjust other system features.
& Press the GUIDE+ æ button to display the GUIDE Plus+ informations grid.
é Press the cursor up/down, left/right buttons to move through the on-screen
menus.
Press the cursor buttons in the direction you want to move within the
GUIDE Plus+ menus.
“ Press the OK button to make selections within the GUIDE Plus+ features.
‘ Press the blue action button to set the TV to watch certain programs, or to
cancel changes within the Channel Editor.
( Press the green action button to set the TV to record certain programs, or
to turn Channel Editing options On or Off.
§ Press the INFO+ button to display detailed description of program content, if
available. Use the
CH +/- button to select a next page, if present.
Press the
MENU Ï button to go back to the menu bar with Grid, Sort, etc.
è Press the VCR+ button to set VCR timer recordings. See further.
! Press the EXIT button to dismiss the GUIDE Plus+ option.
GUIDE Plus+ Grid

Press the GUIDE+ æ button.
The GUIDE Plus+ system information grid appears. Program titles will appear
with TV shows when the GUIDE Plus+ information has been received and is
operational.
é Press the cursor right or left to highlight Grid, Sort, News, Schedule,
Message, Editor or Setup.
“ Press the cursor down to highlight program listings.
‘ Select the channel logo (with the cursor left) of the highlighted program.
( Press the blue action button to lock or unlock the displayed channel in the
video window.
When selected
unlocked, the content of the video window follows the
selected program in the grid.
§ Press the cursor right to highlight the program of the selected channel.
è Press the cursor up/down, left/right to scroll through the on-screen grid of
program listings.
! With a program listing highlighted, press the blue button on the remote to
set the TV to watch that specific program at its specific time.
With a program listing highlighted, press the green button on the remote to
set the TV to record that specific program at its specific time.
Note: Make sure the IR Blasters have been properly installed and a blank video tape
has been placed into the VCR.
