PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP)
S
urf mode PIP automatically
scans all active channel num-
bers (those set in memory) and
displays them as “frozen” PIP
subpictures along the right edge
of the screen. With Surf Mode
PIP, you can see what’s on other
channels while you view a pro-
gram on the main screen.
Press the PIP ON/OFF button
and PIP will appear in one of the two
modes, depending on the last
selection of the PIP mode. If
necessary, press the PIP ON/OFF
button again to show the Surf Mode
PIP screen.
Press the PIP ON/OFF button
to remove PIP from the TV screen.

When you activate any of the
AutoLock TV, Movies, or Canadian
ratings to block programs, Surf Mode
PIP will be unavailable. When you
deactivate the blocks, Surf Mode PIP
will be available again. (See pages
12–15 for information on using the
AutoLock feature.)

If you don’t press any buttons
when in Surf Mode PIP, auto-scan-
ning will continuously scan channels
in memory.
✔ If you tune to a channel while
using Surf Mode PIP, the PIP sub-
pictures will be removed from the
screen.
✔ Surf Mode PIP operates only
when you select ANT(enna) A as
the main channel.
