ADVANCED SETTINGS
Y
our TV has ImageMax™, a
control that will automatically
adjust the picture settings to pro-
duce the highest quality picture
possible. When you select
ImageMax in the Advanced set-
tings, Auto Color and DNR
(Dynamic Noise Reduction) will
automatically be set to “on.”
With the PICTURE menu on
the screen, press the CURSOR
DOWN button until Advanced
Settings is highlighted. Then press
the CURSOR RIGHT button to
enter the Advanced Settings options
area.
Press the CURSOR DOWN or
up button to highlight an option.
Then press the OK button to select
the option. When an Advanced
Settings option has a “
✔” in the
box, it is on. When a Color
Temperature setting has a “•” in the
circle it is on. See the descriptions
of the options to the right in making
your selections.
To return to the PICTURE
menu, press the CURSOR LEFT
button. To go to the Menu Bar,
press the MENU/SELECT button.
To clear the screen, press the STA-
TUS/EXIT button.
Functions of the PICTURE menu Advanced Settings and Color
Temperature options when turned on:
“ImageMax”
• Automatically monitors and adjusts contrast, depending on room lighting to
produce a more natural picture. The ImageMax sensor is located in the TV’s
Front Panel
• Automatically monitors and adjusts color levels and maintains natural flesh
tones.
• Automatically compensates for weak or strong TV signals to produce a
clear picture.
Turn ImageMax off to control other preference settings.
“Auto Color” automatically monitors and adjusts the color to maintain con-
stant color levels even after a program or channel changes. It also maintains
natural flesh tones while preserving the fidelity of background colors. Auto
Color will automatically set to “on” and cannot be turned off when ImageMax
is on. Auto Color does not operate with a Component YPbPr input signal.
“DNR (Dynamic Noise Reduction)” automatically reduces conspicuous
noise in the picture without degrading picture quality. DNR will automatically
be set to “on” and cannot be turned off when ImageMax is on.
“Color Temperature” Options:
“Cool” provides less intense colors with more blue.
“Warm” provides hotter colors with more red.
“Normal” provides standard colors.
