Input Method
Your phone supports 6 types of input methods:
Multitap ABC/Abc/abc
T9 English
T9 PinYin
Simplified Chinese stroke
Numeric
Symbols
During text editing, short press
#
to switch between
the different input methods. The status bar at the top
of the screen will display the current input method.
, and represent Multi-tap upper, Smart
Multi-tap and Multi-tap lower case English input,
represents T9 English. To toggle between
lower case, Smart and upper case, press
*.
represents numeric input.
To switch between languages, during text editing,
press
L
OK and select languages in the Options
menu.
Function keys
Multitap ABC/Abc/abc Input
1. Press once on the numeric key (
2
to
9
) to
enter the first letter on the key, press twice to
enter the second letter on the key, so on and so
forth. If the letter you wish to enter and the one
you have just entered are on the same key, just
wait for a few seconds for the cursor to re-appear.
2. Press
R
to delete the characters on the left of
the cursor.
Example: how to enter the word "home":

cursor or exit from editing mode.
