1. The display shows an icon with 3 circles in a triangle. What does it mean?
2. I replaced the shaving heads but the shaving unit symbol on the shaver
keeps flashing. What can I do?
3. Why do I have to replace the shaving heads after a while?
1. The display shows an icon with 3 circles in a triangle. What does it mean?
This signal reminds you to replace the shaving heads of your shaver. New shaving heads
guarantee continued optimal shaving performance.
What reminder signal your shaver gives depends on the model. Some shavers beep, while others
show a flashing shaving head symbol on the display. There are also models that beep and show a
reminder signal on the display at the same time.
How to reset the reminder signal:
The replacement reminder is repeated at 7 to 10 successive shaves, depending on the model.
In some models, you can reset the razor. Press and hold the On/Off button for approximately 10
seconds.
2. I replaced the shaving heads but the shaving unit symbol on the shaver
keeps flashing. What can I do?
The shaving unit symbol is automatically shown for 7 to 10 successive shaves. After 7 to 10 shaves it
automatically stops.
You can also reset it manually. Press and hold the on/off button for approximately 10 seconds.
3. Why do I have to replace the shaving heads after a while?
Every year, your blades travel the height of Mt. Everest...49 times! After such a workout, even the
best materials can lose their edge. Retain your razor's peak performance — replace the heads once a
year.
Philips shaving heads are made of the highest quality steel because they are in regular contact with
your skin. However, even the best materials become worn out with regular use. Even if an immediate
decrease in performance is not noticeable, your shaving head will gradually become less sharp and
precise. That is why we recommend that you replace your shaving head every 12 months.
The ideal replacement frequency depends on your shaving frequency and the thickness of your facial
hair.
