valances.
To
obtain
neat
and
even
gathers
you
should
sew
two
or
three
gathering
seams.
• Mark
the
first line
on
the right
side
of the
fabric
and
stitch along
it. Leave
about
four
or
five
inches
of
thread
at
the end.

fabric
by
pulling

bottom
threads.

determine
the
amount
of
gather
yourself.
• Finally,
knot
the
thread
ends
together
to
secure
the
gather.
