Embroidering

a
dense
zigzag
stitch!
Tapering
With
your
machine
the
zigzag
stitch
can
be
infinitely
varied
in
its
width.
In
Anglo-Saxon
usage
this
technique
—
in
which
a
dense
zig
zag
stitch
becomes
narrower
—
is called
“tape
ring”.
By
regulating
the
width
of
this
dense
zigzag
stitch
you
can
create
interesting
embroidery.
Even

Apply
iron-on
backing
or
place
silk
backing
paper
under
the
fabric.

Set
needle
thread
tension
to
“buttonhole”,
select
zigzag
stitch
G,
set
stitch
length
to
,,buttonholo”
and
select
the
center
needle
position
c.

Turn
the
width
knob

smoothly
and
consistently
from
0
to
5

mm
and
back
again
to
0
while
sewing
at
a
constant
speed
throughout
the
procedure.
Note:
If you
selected
the
right
or
loft
needle
position,
the
stitch
width
will
only
change
in
one
direction.
