Linen

Insert
the
buttonhole
slide
and
push
it
fully
to
the
front.
Press
key
C
and
sew
the
first
seam
to
the
required
length.
Then
press
key
B.
Keep
it
pressed
and
sew
a
few
stitches
for
the
bartack,
while
holding
the
material
securely.
Then
press
key
A
and
sew
back
the
second
seam
to
the
same
length.
Now
press
key
B
again
and
sew
a
few
bar
tack
stitches,
while
holding
the
material
securely.
When
the
key
is
released
the
needle
jumps
to
the
left
position
and
you
can
sew
up
the
buttonhole
with
a
few
stitches.
Cut
the
buttonhole
open
with
a
pair
of
scissors
or
a
seam
ripper.
To
produce
highly
durable
buttonholes,
e.g.
for
sportswear,
we
recommend
using
a
gimp
thread.
For
all
stretchable
materials,
too,
a
gimp
thread
is
very
important,
in
order
to
avoid
overstretching
of
the
buttonhole.
Place
the
gimp
thread
over
the
back
ridge
A
and
pull
the
thread
ends
under
the
sewing
foot
to
the
front.
Pull
the
threads
into
the
left
and
right
of
ridge
B.
Push
the
buttonhole
slide
fully
forward.
then
sew
the
buttonhole.
Pull
the
loop
of
the
gimp
thread
into
the
buttonhole
and
cut
off
the
loose
thread
ends.
