Reduce
the
needle
thread
tension
by 1
to
2
numbers.
Pull
the
bottom
of
the
buttonhole
foot
for
ward
as
far
as
it
will
go.
Begin
by
sewing
a
buttonhole
on
a piece
of
scrap
material.
A
Sew
the
first
buttonhole
seam.
Turn
the
balance
wheel
toward
you
to
raise
the
needle.
B
Turn
the
knob
to
symbol
B.
Sew
4-6
bartacking
stitches,
raise
the
needle.
C
Turn
the
knob
to
symbol C.
Sew
in
reverse
until
the
second
seam
is
the
same
length
as
the
first.
Raise
the
needle.
D
Turn
the
knob
to symbol D.
Sew
4-6
bartacking stitches.
Raise
the
needle.
E
Turn
the
knob
to
symbol E. Sew
a
few
tying
stitches.
Turn
the
balance
wheel
toward you
to
bring
the
take-up
lever
to
its
highest point.
Remove
the
mate
rial.
Pull
the
filler
thread
taut
and
trim
both
ends.
F
Cut
buttonhole
open.
