Pearl

This
special
foot
is
used
for
attaching
pearls,
spangles,
strass
tapes,
lead
tapes
and
cords.
These
sewing
operations
are
carried
out
with
needle
B
or
C
only.
1.
Set
differential
feed
at
—
,see
page
27).
2.
Engage
pearl
sewing
foot.

For
small
pearls,
remove
needle
B.
For
big
pearls,
remove
needle
C.
4.
Pass
the
pearl
tape
through
guides
1
and
2
up
to
the
end
of
the
foot
(Fig.
1).
5.
At
all
seam
width
settings,
it
is
possible
to
sew
with
or
without
upper
knife;
lead
the
fabric
along
the
right
sewing
foot
edge.
6.
Important:
The
upper
knife
may
only
be
used
within
the
range
of
N
to
5
(see
page
31).
7.
Stitch
length:
3
to
4
mm
8.
Determine
the
proper
thread
tension
by
sewing
a
trial
seam
(N
=
standard
setting)
Note:
If
the
pearl
tape
is
sewn
to
the
fabric
edge,
needle
C
must
be
removed
(disengage
upper
knife).
Thread

The
needle
should
enter
the
fabric
1
to
1.5
mm
from
the
fabric
edge
