This

special

sewing

foot

is

for

sewing

on an

elastic

tape;

in

the

same

opera

tion

the

fabric

is

trimmed

and

serged,

and

also

gathered

by

the

contracting

elastic

tape.

Preparing

the

machine

set

at

N

(Hobbylock

788)

use

or

needles,

depending

on

tape

width

insert

elastic

taping

foot

approx.

Inserting

the

elastic

tape:

Loosen

screw

so

that

brake

at

opening

is

opened

by

to

mm.

Place

in

elastic

tape

and

pass

it

back

under

the

foot.

Tighten

brake

with

screw

again.

The

more

screw

is

turned,

the

stronger

the

pressure

of

brake

on

the

elastic

tape

and

thus

the

greater

the

gather

effect.

Note:

When

the

sewing

foot

is

raised,

the

elastic

tape should

be

pulled

through

brake

slightly

braked.
