Replacing
the
lower
knife
DURING
THIS OPERATION
DISCONNECT THE
PLUG
FROM
ThE MAINS
OUTLET
1.
To
remove the
lower knife.
First
push into
the right
the
upper
knile
release
knob turning
it anti-clockwise
to release
the
upper
knife
(as
described
on
page
1 7)
Loosen the
lower
knife screw and
remove the
lower knife,
taking care
not to touch
the blade.
2.
Fitting a
new
lower
knife
Insert
the
knife
into
the
groove
of
the
lower
knife
holder
and,
with
the
cutting
edge
facing
right,
set
the
knife
so
that
the cutting
edge
of
the blade
aligns
with
the surface
of the
needle
plate
and
then re-tighten
the
fixing
screw
securely.
using a
screwdriver.
Replace
the upper knife
in its working position
by
means
of the release knob
(see
also
page
1 7).
