Replacing
the
drivemotor
carbon
brushes
The
carbon
brushes
must
be
replaced
when
they
wear
down.

Symptoms
of
worn
brushes

They
become
noisy.

The
motor
will
not
turn
at
all

The
motor
emits
a
noise
but
will
not
turn.

.
There
are
more
sparks
than
usual.

Replacement
of
brushes
Remove
motor
from
machine.

Loosen
the
2
brush
caps.
3.
Remove
the
carbon
brush
springs
and
the
uld
carbon
brushes.
4.
Insert
the
new
carbon
brushes
and
the
carbon
brush
springs.
Replace
and
tighten
the
brush
caps.
5.
Replace
the
motor
and
re-ad
1
ust
the
belt
tension.

The
carbon
brushes
are
standard
spare
parts
and
can
be
obtained
from
the
de&er
where
you
bought
the
machine.
