Repairing tears
On tears, frayed edges or small holes it
is useful to lay a piece of fabric under the
reverse side of the fabric. The underlaid
fabric reinforces the workpiece and en-
sures you a perfect repair.
Lay a piece of fabric underneath the
material. It must always be a little larger
than the damaged area.
Sew over the damaged area in accord-
ance with the size of the tear.
Trim the underlaid piece of fabric back
to the seam.
