overcast
the
edges
of
light
and medium-
weight
fabrics,
set
the
machine
for
its
maxi
mum
stitch
width.
Soft
and
flimsy
fabrics
are best
overcast
with
a
zigzag
stitch
of
medium
width.
Make
sure
the
needle
takes
one
stitch
into
the
fabric
and
the
other
over its
edge.
This
will
cover
the
fabric
edge
securely.
