Fundamentals

Machine
Operation
•
Whenever
you
have
to
turn
the
balance
wheel,
turn
it
toward
you
(counter-clockwise
as
shown
by
black
arrow).

Make
sure
stop
motion
knob
on
the
balance
wheel
is
tightened
before
you
begin
sewing.
•
Never
run
a
threaded
machine
unless
you
have
fabric
under
the
sewing
foot.
•
Place
both
threads
back
under
the
sewing
foot
before
you
put
fabric
j
into
the
machine.
•
The
machine
will
feed
the
material
under
the
sewing
foot
automatically.
1.
All
you
have
to
do
is
guide
the
work.
•
Always
bring
take-up
lever
to
its
highest
position
before
you
begin
and
after
you
have
completed
a
seam.
Failure
to
observe
this
rule
may
cause
the
thread
to
slip
out
of
the
needle
eye.
Also,
it
is
easier
to
remove
the
work
with
the
take-up
lever
up.
