sleeves,
socks
or
stockings
without
darning
hoops.

Trim
ragged
edges
of
hole
with
the
fabric
grain,
then
stitch
back
and
forth
across
the hole
from
one
side
to
the
other
with
the
machine
running
at
high
speed.
Now
sew
back
and
forth
over
preceding
work
with
short
stitches
taken
lengthwise
of
the arm.
This
anchors
threads
in
the
unworn
area
around
the
hole.
Always
hold
fabric
taut.
