Script

monogram embroidery without a sewing
foot. It requires
a
little
practice.
You will
soon
enjoy creative embroidery once you
hove learned to
move the
material
at
a uniform
rate. The fabric should be held
taut in the hoops,
the
presser bar
suspended
and
the presser bar lifter lowered.
Drop machine feed.
Lower
needle into
fabric
at the beginning
of your design and draw
bobbin thread
up
through the fabric.
Hold
both thread
ends and sew over outline,
moving hoops
slowly and
evenly. To give
your monogram dimensional quality, embroider
outline
twice. Be
sure stitches
are closely
spaced.

The procedure below is primarily used for block letters.
Raise machine feed and
set
machine
for satin stitch. Attach cord stitcher
and sew outlines of monogram.
Watch
that seams
do
not overlap at joints of letters.
To raise monogram, insert.o filler thread.
