Tension
release

•
Taking
care
to
ensure
that
the
cut-off
mechanism
is
in
resting
position,
raise
the
presser
foot.
•
Loosen
screws

Set
transmission
bar

(screws
3)
to
the
height
stipulated
in
requirement
1.
On
machines
without
automatic
presser-foot
lifter
(subclass
-910/..),
bracket

must
be
unscrewed
to
obtain
access
to
screws

•
By
turning
the
handwheel,
bring
the
machine
to
needle
rise
position
and
manually
activate
the
engaging
lever.
Requirement
1.
With
the
cut-off
mechanism
in
resting
position
and
the
presser
foot
raised,
there
must
be
a
distance
of
approx.
7
mm
between
the
left
edge
of
release
bar

and
housing

2.
When
the
point
of
thread
catcher
5
is
at
the
same
height
as
the
rear
edge
of
stop
trip
6
of
the
needle
plate
(see
arrow)
with
the
presser
foot
resting
on
the
needle
plate,
the
tension
discs
must
be
loosened
to
such
an
extent
that
the
needle
thread
can
be
easily
pulled
through
them.
