OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT RUN DRY - FOR INDOOR USE ONLY Fountain will come fully assembled and ready for use. 1) As with any electrical device, check the electrical cord for any tears, or damage before use. 2) Make sure the inline plug is connected. (No silver showing) 3) Remove the housing cover (lid) by placing your index fingers into the inset groves on either side of the lid. Lift up. Set the lid aside.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 6) Place fountain in desired location. If placing on carpet, tile or wood flooring use a protective surface such as a towel or place mat to protect your floor from splashing or dripping from your pet. 7) Fill the fountain with water. This includes the bowl and the housing. This will prime the pump. Replace the lid and snap into place. 8) Remove the reservoir by lifting up and away from the fountain. Turn the reservoir upside down and remove the the reservoir cap.
FOUNTAIN DISASSEMBLY & CLEANING NOTE: Fountain must be cleaned to continue working normally. FILTERS: Change every 2 to 4 weeks 1) Filters should be changed every two to four weeks. Replace filters more frequently when using the fountain for multiple pets or pets that produce a lot of saliva. 2) Filters are an added feature of the fountain. Their use is not required for normal operation. 3) Filters may be rinsed out when the fountain is cleaned.
FOUNTAIN DISASSEMBLY & CLEANING 6) Next, remove the pump by disconnecting the inline plug (Fig. 2f), then lift it out of the fountain. Clean away any hair or food that may have accumulated around the flow control knob and the intake plate of the pump. Inline Plug Fig. 2e Fig. 2f 7) Clean the fountain parts with warm water and soap. You can also put the fountain in the dishwasher (not the pump). Remove the pump before placing in the dishwasher.
FOUNTAIN REASSEMBLY 2) Thread the plug through the opening next to the pump. Under the arch you can tuck the cord into “cord channels” (Fig. 3c), then move the cord along the back of the fountain to the “cord pass-through.” (Fig. 3d) Use this pass-through to keep the cord from showing. Cord Pass-Through Fig. 3c Fig. 3d 3) Line up the filter housing unit over the pump and then the bowl. You will want to line up the intake tube to fit directly into the pump.
PUMP MAINTENANCE Cleaning the pump is essential to the longevity of the fountain, as well as the cleanliness of the water. Clean the pump every 2 weeks. IMPORTANT: Warranty may be voided if the motor is not cleaned. Pump Impeller Stator Intake Plate 1) Remove the Pre-filter and Housing from the bowl. Flow Control Knob 2) Gently lift the pump out of its resting place. Suction cups on the bottom of the motor will hold it in place. A small amount of force may be necessary.
5) Once the stator is removed, you can also remove the impeller (3 white-bladed propeller) which is held in place magnetically. To remove the impeller, use a fingernail to get under a blade and lift out. (Fig. 4e) Fig. 4e 6) Once the motor is disassembled you can clean the parts with warm soapy water. Use a cotton bud or the Drinkwell® Cleaning Kit “Motor Brush” to get into the motor cavity and remove any build-up. For added disinfecting and hard water removal, clean the motor with white vinegar.

UNDERSTANDING THE DRINKWELL® PARTS 1) Housing Cover: the cover or lid snaps in place over the filter housing well, keeping pets out of the charcoal filter. 2) Housing: here the water is pumped up through the housing to cycle through the charcoal filter and out the spout to create a long five-inch waterfall into the bowl. 3) Pre-filter: a small intake grate that will catch large particles such as hair and kibble before they reach the filter. The pre-filter can be removed by pulling up on the lip at the top.
TIPS ON USE When being introduced to the Drinkwell® Pet Fountain, your pet may be cautious of this new and unusual object. After beginning operation of your fountain, simply allow your pet to adjust at his or her own pace. Some pets may take several days or longer to begin use, while others will start right away. Your pet may prefer that the fountain be placed away from their normal feeding area. Try placing it in another location, such as a different area of the kitchen or in a bathroom or utility room.
MANUFACTURER’S SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1) It is not recommended that any appliance be left running unattended for a prolonged period of time as the water may get consumed or evaporate and cause the motor to run dry. 2) Do not allow pets or children to chew on or swallow any parts. MODE D’EMPLOI NE PAS FAIRE FONCTIONNER À SEC RÉSERVÉ EXCLUSIVEMENT À L’USAGE INTÉRIEUR Votre fontaine est livrée assemblée et prête à l’emploi. 1) Comme pour tous les appareils électriques, vérifier que le cordon d’alimentation n’est pas endommagé avant de le brancher. 2) S’assurer que la fiche est branchée. (La partie argentée ne doit pas être apparente) 3) Enlever le couvercle du boîtier en plaçant vos index dans les rainures encastrées de chaque côté du couvercle.
6) Installer la fontaine à l’endroit désiré. Si vous l’installez sur un tapis, du carrelage ou un plancher en bois, utiliser une protection comme une serviette ou un napperon afin de protéger votre sol des éclaboussures ou écoulements d’eau causés par votre animal. 7) Remplir votre fontaine d’eau, tant le bol que le boîtier du filtre. Ceci amorcera la pompe. Remettre le couvercle en place et l’emboîtier. 8) Soulever le réservoir et l’enlever de la fontaine.
DÉMONTAGE ET NETTOYAGE DE LA FONTAINE Nettoyer la fontaine pour qu’elle fonctionne convenablement! FILTRES : 1) Les filtres doivent être remplacés toutes les deux à quatre semaines. Remplacer les filtres plus fréquemment si la fontaine est utilisée par plusieurs animaux et par des animaux à la salive abondante. 2) Les filtres sont sont un plus auz fonctionnement de la fontaine. Leur utilisation n’est pas nécessaire pour une utilisation normale de l’appareil.
6) Vous pouvez alors retirer le moteur en débranchant la fiche, (Fig. 2f) et ensuite le sortir de la fontaine. Enlever les poils ou les saletés qui ont pu s’accumuler autour du bouton de réglage du débit et de la plaque d’admission de la pompe. Fiche Fig. 2e Fig. 2f 7) Nettoyer les différentes pièces de la fontaine avec de l’eau chaude et du savon. Vous pouvez également mettre la fontaine dans le panier supérieur du lave-vaisselle. Retirer la pompe avant de mettre la fontaine dans le lave-vaisselle.
2) Faire passer la prise de courant dans l’ouverture située à côté du moteur. Vous pouvez passer le fil dans les rainures sous l’arche et ensuite faire suivre le cordon d’alimentation le long de la fontaine jusqu’à l’encoche prévue pour le cordon (Fig. 3d). Utiliser cette encoche pour dissimuler le cordon d’alimentation. Rainures Fig. 3c Encoche Fig. 3d 3) Aligner le boîtier du filtre sur le moteur et ensuite sur le bol.
ENTRETIEN DU MOTEUR Le nettoyage du moteur est essentiel pour assurer la longévité de la fontaine et la pureté de l’eau. Le nettoyage du moteur doit se faire toutes les 2 semaines. IMPORTANT: La garantie peut être annulée si le moteur n’est pas nettoyé. Moteur/pompe Turbine Inducteur Plaque d’admission Bouton de réglage du débit 1) Enlever le préfiltre et son boîtier du bol. 2) Soulever doucement le moteur hors de son emplacement. Les ventouses sous le moteur le retiendront en place.
5) Une fois l’inducteur enlevé, vous pouvez retirer la turbine (l’hélice à 3 lames), maintenue en place par un aimant. Pour enlever la turbine, utilisez un ongle pour aller sous une lame et la soulever. Fig. 4e 6) Une fois le moteur démonté, vous pouvez nettoyer les pièces avec de l’eau chaude et du savon. Utiliser un coton-tige ou le kit de nettoyage Drinkwell® pour atteindre les recoins du moteur et enlever les résidus.

DESCRIPTIF DES PIÈCES DE LA FONTAINE DRINKWELL® 1) Couvercle du boîtier: couvercle ou capuchon qui s’emboîte sur le boîtier du filtre, empêchant les animaux d’atteindre le filtre à charbon. 2) Boîtier du filtre: l’eau y est pompée avant de passer par le filtre à charbon et de sortir par le bec sousla forme d’un filet d’eau de 12,7 cm de long qui se déverse dans le bol. 3) Préfiltre: petite grille qui retient les grosses particules comme les poils et les particules avant qu’ils n’atteignent le filtre.
AIDES D’UTILISATION Lorsque vous utilisez la fontaine Drinkwell® Platinum pour la première, votre animal peut être intimidé par ce nouvel objet inhabituel. Au début, il suffit simplement de permettre à votre animal de s’habituer la fontaine à son rythme. Il faut parfois plusieurs jours voire davantage de temps à certains animaux avant qu’ils ne commencent à l’utiliser. Votre animal préférera peut-être que la fontaine soit éloignée de l’endroit où sa nourriture est placée normalement.

BEDIENINGSINSTRUCTIES NIET DROOG LATEN LOPEN ALLEEN BESTEMD VOOR GEBRUIK BINNENSHUIS Uw fontein wordt volledig gemonteerd geleverd en is klaar voor gebruik. 1) Zoals met elk elektrisch apparaat dient u het elektrisch snoer op scheuren of schade te controleren vóór het apparaat gebruiken. 2) Zorg ervoor dat het lijnsteekcontact aangesloten is.
6) Plaats de fontein op de gewenste plaats. Als u het apparaat op een tapijt, tegels of een houten vloer plaatst, gebruik dan een beschermend oppervlak, zoals een handdoek of onderlegger, om tegen spatten en druipen van uw huisdier te beschermen. 7) Vul de fontein met water. Dit geldt voor de kom en de filterbehuizing. Hierdoor wordt de pomp klaargemaakt voor gebruik. Plaats het deksel terug en klik het op zijn plaats. 8) Verwijder het reservoir door het omhoog te tillen, weg van de fontein.
DE FONTEIN DEMONTEREN EN REINIGEN De fontein moet gereinigd worden om normaal te blijven werken! FILTERS: 1) Filters dienen om de twee tot zes weken te worden veranderd. Vervang filters vaker wanneer u de fontein voor meerdere huisdieren gebruikt of voor huisdieren die veel speeksel produceren. 2) Filters zijn een extra voorziening van de fontein. Het gebruik ervan is niet nodig voor normaal gebruik. 3) Filters kunnen afgespoeld worden als de fontein wordt gereinigd.
6) U kunt dan de motor verwijderen door het lijnsteekcontact te ontkoppelen (Afb. 2f) en de motor daarna uit de fontein te tillen. Verwijder alle haar of etensresten die rond de stroomregelknop en de inlaatplaat van de pomp zitten. Lijnsteekcontact Afb. 2e Afb. 2f 7) Reinig de onderdelen van de fontein met warm water en zeep. U kunt de fontein ook in het bovenste gedeelte van de vaatwasmachine plaatsen. Verwijder de pomp vóór de fontein in de vaatwasmachine te steken.
2) Schroef de plug door de opening naast de motor. Onder de boog kunt u het snoer in “snoerkanalen” stoppen en daarna het snoer langs de achterkant van de fontein leiden in de snoerinkeping duwen (Afb. 3c-d). Gebruik deze doorgang om te voorkomen dat het snoer zichtbaar is. Snoerkanalen Doorgang voor snoer Afb. 3c Afb. 3d 3) Breng de filterbehuizing in lijn met de motor en daarna met de kom. U dient de inlaatbuis in lijn te brengen zodat deze direct in de motor past.
ONDERHOUD VAN DE MOTOR De motor reinigen is van cruciaal belang voor de levensduur van de fontein zowel als voor de zuiverheid van het water. Reinig de motor om de twee weken. BELANGRIJK: De garantie kan vervallen als de motor niet wordt gereinigd. Zuignappen aan de onderkant van de motor houden de motor op zijn plaats.
5) Zodra de stator verwijderd is kunt u ook de rotor (propeller met 3 witte bladen) verwijderen die magnetisch op zijn plaats wordt gehouden. Om de rotor te verwijderen, gebruikt u een vingernagel om onder een blad te geraken en het omhoog te duwen. Afb. 4e 6) Zodra de motor gedemonteerd is kunt u de onderdelen reinigen met warm zeepachtig water.

DE ONDERDELEN VAN DRINKWELL® BEGRIJPEN 1) Behuizingsafdekking: de afdekking of het deksel klikt op zijn plaats over de filterbehuizingsruimte en houdt huisdieren weg van de houtskoolfilter. 2) Behuizing: hier wordt het water door de behuizing gepompt zodat het door de houtskoolfilter en uit de tuit stroomt om een tien centimeter lange waterval in de kom te creëren. 3) Pre-filter: een klein inlaatrooster dat grote partikels, zoals haar en etensresten, opvangt voor ze de filter bereiken.
GEBRUIKSTIPS Wanneer u uw huisdier het Drinkwell® fontein voor huisdieren toont, kan het zijn dat uw huisdier argwanend staat tegenover dit nieuwe en ongewone object. Nadat u uw fontein aanzet, moet u uw huisdier zich laten aanpassen op zijn of haar tempo. Voor sommige huisdieren duurt het verschillende dagen of langer voor ze het beginnen gebruiken terwijl anderen het onmiddellijk beginnen gebruiken.
VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES VAN DE FABRIKANT 1) Het is niet aanbevolen dat een apparaat gedurende een langere periode blijft aanstaan zonder supervisie omdat het water opgebruikt kan raken of kan verdampen waardoor de motor droog draait. 2) Niet toelaten dat huisdieren of kinderen op kleine onderdelen kauwen of ze inslikken. INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN NO LO HAGA FUNCIONAR EN SECO PARA USO INTERIOR SOLAMENTE Su fuente viene de fábrica completamente montada y lista para usar. 1) Como para todo aparato eléctrico, revise el cordón de alimentación y asegúrese de que no presente desgarraduras u otro daño previo al uso. 2) Verifique que la ficha del cordón esté enchufada (que no se vea el plateado). 3) Retire la tapa de la caja colocando sus índices en las ranuras hechas a ambos lados de la tapa. Levante. Ponga la tapa a un lado.
6) Coloque la fuente en el lugar deseado. Si se la coloca sobre una alfombra, un piso de baldosa o de madera, cubra el piso con un elemento protector tal como una toalla o un felpudo para evitar salpicaduras o goteo de su mascota. 7) Llene de la fuente con agua. Esto incluye la taza y la caja del filtro. Con esto se cebará la bomba. Vuelva a colocar la tapa de modo que se enganche en la posición correcta. 8) Retire el tanque de agua levantándolo y apartándolo de la fuente.
CÓMO DESMONTAR Y LIAMPIAR LA FUENTE ¡Es necesario limpiar la fuente para que continúe funcionando normalmente! FILTROS: 1) Los filtros deben cambiarse cada dos a cuatro semanas; con mayor frecuencia si se trata de múltiples mascotas o de mascotas que salivan abundantemente. 2) Los filtros son una característica suplementaria de la fuente. Su uso no es necesario para la operación normal. 3) Pueden enjuagarse los filtros cuando se limpia la fuente.
6) Puede entonces retirar el motor desconectando la ficha, (Fig. 2e y 2f) y levantarlo fuera de la fuente. Quite todo vestigio de pelo o trocitos de alimento que puedan haberse acumulado alrededor del botón de control del caudal y de la placa de admisión de la bomba. Ficha Fig. 2e Fig. 2f 7) Limpie las partes de la fuente con agua jabonosa templada. También puede lavar la taza en la rejilla superior del lavaplatos. Saque la bomba antes de poner la fuente en el lavaplatos.
2) Inserte la ficha por la abertura existente al lado del motor. Debajo del arco podrá alojar el cordón dentro de las “canaletas del cordón”, luego pasarlo a lo largo de la parte trasera de la fuente hasta el portillo (Fig. 3d). Le conviene alinear el tubo de admisión de modo que entre directamente en el motor.
MANTENIMIENTO DE LA BOMBA Es esencial limpiar la bomba para asegurar una larga vida útil de la fuente así como la limpieza del agua. IMPORTANTE: Podría anularse la garantía si no se limpia la bomba. Las ventosas que se encuentran en la parte inferior del motor lo retendrán en su lugar.
5) Una vez que se ha retirado el estator también se puede retirar el impulsor (la hélice con tres paletas) que se mantiene en su lugar magnéticamente. Para retirar el impulsor use una uña para levantar la paleta y sacarlo. Fig. 4e 6) Una vez que el motor está desmontado, se pueden limpiar las partes con agua jabonosa caliente. Use un bastoncillo de algodón o el “Cepillo para la bomba” del kit de limpieza de Drinkwell® para penetrar en la cavidad del motor y quitar la suciedad acumulada.

ISTRUZIONI DI FUNZIONAMENTO NON FAR FUNZIONARE A SECCO ESCLUSIVAMENTE PER USO INTERNO La fontana viene fornita completamente assemblata e pronta per l’uso. 1) Come per qualsiasi apparecchio elettrico, prima dell’uso controllare che il cavo di alimentazione non sia rotto o danneggiato. 2) Verificare che la spina di raccordo sia collegata (la parte argentata non deve essere visibile). 3) Togliere il coperchio della custodia inserendo gli indici nelle scanalature ai lati del coperchio. Sollevare.
6) Collocare la fontana nel luogo desiderato. Se posizionata su moquette, piastrelle o superfici in legno, si raccomanda di utilizzare un asciugamano o un tappetino per proteggere il pavimento da spruzzi o spargimenti causati dal vostro animale domestico. 7) Riempire la fontana di acqua, sia la ciotola che la custodia del filtro. In questo modo viene adescata la pompa. Riposizionare il coperchio a scatto. 8) Rimuovere il serbatoio sollevandolo e allontanandolo dalla fontana.
DISASSEMBLAGGIO E PULIZIA DELLA FONTANA La fontana deve essere pulita per assicurarne il continuo stato di normale funzionamento! FILTRI: 1) Il filtro deve essere sostituito ogni 2-4 settimane. Sostituire il filtro con maggiore frequenza se la fontana è usata da più animali domestici o da animali che producono molta saliva. 2) Il filtro è un accessorio supplementare della fontana. Non è indispensabile per il normale funzionamento del prodotto.
6) Per rimuovere il motore, scollegare la spina di raccordo (Fig. 2f), quindi sollevarlo dalla fontana. Eliminare eventuali peli o residui di cibo accumulati intorno alla manopola di regolazione del flusso e alla piastra di aspirazione della pompa. Spina di raccordo Fig. 2e Fig. 2f 7) Pulire i componenti della fontana con acqua tiepida e sapone. La fontana può anche essere posta nel cestello superiore del lavastoviglie. Rimuovere la pompa prima di mettere la fontana nel lavastoviglie.
2) Infilare la spina nell’apertura accanto al motore. Far scorrere il cavo lungo il percorso segnato sotto l’arco, fino a raggiungere l’apposito cunicolo sul retro della fontana (Fig. 3d). Allineare il tubo di aspirazione in modo che entri direttamente nel motore.
MANUTENZIONE DEL MOTORE La pulizia del motore è essenziale per la lunga durata della fontana e la purezza dell’acqua. Pulire il motore ogni due settimane. IMPORTANTE: La garanzia può essere annullata se il motore non viene pulito. 5) Dopo avere rimosso lo statore, è possibile rimuovere anche il girante (elica bianca a 3 pale) che viene tenuto in posizione magneticamente. Per rimuovere il girante, agire con un’unghia sotto una pala e sollevare. Fig. 4e 6) Quando il motore è disassemblato, pulire i componenti con acqua insaponata. Servirsi di un batuffolo di cotone o della spazzola elettrica del Kit di pulizia Drinkwell® per penetrare nella cavità del motore ed eliminare eventuali depositi.

BETRIEBSANWEISUNGEN NICHT TROCKENLAUFEN LASSEN NUR FÜR DEN HAUSGEBRAUCH Ihr Trinkbrunnen wird in einem vollständig zusammengebauten Zustand und betriebsbereit geliefert. 1) Überprüfen Sie wie bei jedem anderen Elektrogerät das Elektrokabel vor Gebrauch auf Abnutzungen und Beschädigungen. 2) Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Inline-Stecker eingesteckt ist.
6) Stellen Sie den Trinkbrunnen am gewünschten Platz auf. Wenn Sie ihn auf dem Teppich, Fließen- oder Parkettboden aufstellen, verwenden Sie eine Schutzoberfläche, wie ein Handtuch oder eine Tischmatte, um Ihren Boden vor Wasserspritzern oder Wassertropfen, verursacht durch Ihr Haustier, zu schützen. 7) Füllen Sie den Trinkbrunnen mit Wasser. Dies beinhaltet die Schüssel und das Filtergehäuse. Damit wird die Pumpe auf den Betrieb vorbereitet. Legen Sie den Deckel auf und lassen Sie ihn einrasten.
AUSEINANDERBAU & REINIGUNG DES TRINKBRUNNENS Der Trinkbrunnen muss für einen fortlaufenden normalen Betrieb gereinigt werden! FILTER: 1) Filter sollten aller zwei bis vier Wochen gewechselt werden. Wechseln Sie die Filter öfters, wenn der Trinkbrunnen für mehrere Haustiere oder für Haustiere verwendet wird, die viel Speichel produzieren. 2) Filter sind eine zusätzliche Funktion des Trinkbrunnens. Ihre Verwendung ist für den Normalbetrieb nicht erforderlich.
6) Sie können den Motor entfernen, wenn Sie den Inline-Stecker herausgezogen haben (Abb. 2f). Ziehen Sie ihn danach vom Trinkbrunnen ab. Entfernen Sie alle Haare oder Futterreste, die sich um den Regelknopf und der Ansaugplatte der Pumpe angesammelt haben. Inline-Stecker Abb. 2f Abb. 2e 7) Reinigen Sie die Teile des Trinkbrunnens mit warmem Wasser und Seife. Sie können den Trinkbrunnen auch in den obersten Spülkorb der Spülmaschine legen.
2) Ziehen Sie den Stecker durch die Öffnung neben dem Motor. Unter der Wölbung können Sie das Kabel in „Kabelführungen“ einlegen. Ziehen Sie das Kabel dann an der Rückseite des Trinkbrunnens zum Kabelausschnitt (Abb. 3d). Verwenden Sie diesen Durchlass, um das Kabel am Austritt zu hindern. Sie sollten den Ansaugschlauch zur direkten Einpassung in den Motor ausrichten.
WARTUNG DES MOTORS Die Reinigung des Motors ist wichtig, um die Langlebigkeit des Trinkbrunnens als auch die Sauberkeit des Wassers sicherzustellen WICHTIG: Garantie kann ungültig werden, wenn der Motor nicht gereinigt wird. 5) Nach Entfernung des Stators können Sie auch das Pumpenrad entfernen (mit 3 weißen Flügeln versehener Propeller), der magnetisch in Position gehalten wird. Um das Pumpenrad zu entfernen, verwenden Sie einen Fingernagel um unter den Flügel zu gelangen und heben Sie es an. Abb. 4e 6) Wenn der Motor auseinandergebaut ist, können Sie die Teile mit warmem Seifenwasser waschen.

MACHEN SIE SICH MIT DEN DRINKWELL-TEILEN VERTRAUT 1) Gehäuseabdeckung: Die Abdeckung oder der Deckel rastet über dem Filtergehäuse ein und schützt den Kohlefilter vor den Haustieren. 2) Gehäuse: Hier wird das Wasser nach oben durch das Gehäuse gepumpt, um durch den Kohlefilter zu zirkulieren und läuft am Ausguss als ein 12,70 cm langer Wasserfall in die Schüssel aus. 3) Vorfilter: ein kleines Ansauggitter, welches große Partikel auffängt, wie Haar und Trockenfutterteile, bevor sie zum Filter gelangen.
TIPPS ZUM GEBRAUCH Nach der Aufstellung des Drinkwell® Platinum Trinkbrunnens, ist es möglich, dass sich Ihr Haustier scheu gegenüber diesem neuen und ungewöhnlichen Objekt verhält. Nach Beginn des Betriebs lassen Sie Ihrem Haustier Zeit, sich mit dem Trinkbrunnen vertraut zu machen. Bei einigen Haustieren kann dieser Prozess bis zur Benutzung einige Tage länger dauern. Es ist möglich, dass Ihr Haustier bevorzugt, dass der Trinkbrunnen nicht in dem Gebiet steht, wo die Fütterung gewöhnlich stattfindet.
