Key Definitions Remote Transmitter: Transmits the radio signal to the Receiver Collar. It is waterproof. Transmitter Indicator Light: Indicates that a button is pressed and also serves as a low-battery indicator. Intensity Dial: Provides multiple Stimulation Levels so you can match the correction to your pet’s temperament. Upper Button: Delivers an Audible Tone for one second then Continuous Stimulation at the level set by the Intensity Dial.
Operating Guide Step 1 Prepare the Remote Transmitter Charge the Remote Transmitter 1. Lift the rubber cover protecting the Remote Transmitter Charging Jack. 2. Connect the charger to the Remote Transmitter Charging Jack. 3. Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet. 4. Charge the Remote Transmitter for 24 hours for the first charge. Subsequent charges take only 12 hours. Note:The Transmitter Indicator Light will flash after 12 hours of charging.
2 Prepare the Receiver Collar Your Receiver Collar comes with short Contact Points installed. Use the long Contact Points for pets with long or thick hair. Tighten the Contact Points with pliers one-half turn beyond finger tight (2A). Check the tightness weekly. To Insert and Remove the Batteries 1. Remove the screws with a small Phillips screwdriver (2B). 2. For the LDT-433 only, push the Battery Lid up according to the arrows stamped on the Battery Lid (2B). 3. Slide the Battery Lid out. 4.
To Turn the Receiver Collar On: 1. Press and hold the On/Off Button until the Receiver Indicator Light comes on and the Receiver Collar beeps 5 times. 2. Release the On/Off Button. Once the Receiver Collar has been turned on, press the Side Button of the Remote Transmitter. The Receiver Collar should beep for as long as the Side Button is pressed. If it does not, see the “Reset the Receiver Collar” section. The Receiver Indicator Light will flash once every 4 to 5 seconds if the batteries are low.
b. Remove the Receiver Collar from your pet and cut off the excess. Important: Do not cut the part of the collar containing the Antenna. c. Before placing the Receiver Collar back onto your pet, seal the edge of the cut collar by applying a flame along the frayed edge. 3D Care and Cleaning For comfort, safety, and effectiveness of this product, please ensure that you check the fit of your pet’s collar frequently. This Guide describes proper collar fitting.
Step 4 Find the Best Stimulation Level for Your Pet Important: Always start at the lowest Stimulation Level and work your way up. The Remote Trainer has 8 different Stimulation Levels. This allows you to choose the Stimulation that is best for your pet. Once you have placed the Receiver Collar on your pet, it is time to find the Stimulation Level that is best for him. This is called the Recognition Level.
Training Guide General Tips • Eliminate one misbehaviour or teach one obedience command at a time. If you move too fast with the training, your pet may become confused. • Be consistent. Give your pet an Audible Tone or Stimulation with each misbehaviour. • Do not over-correct your pet.
