WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER
ARE THE SOLE WARRANTIES MADE
BY PACCAR IN REGARD TO THESE
ENGINES.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE
WARRANTY MADE BY PACCAR AND
THE SELLING DEALER. EXCEPT FOR
THE ABOVE LIMITED WARRANTY,
PACCAR AND THE SELLING DEALER
MAKE NO OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. PACCAR AND
THE SELLING DEALER EXPRESSLY
DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE.
PACCAR AND THE SELLING DEALER
SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES INCLUDING, BUT NOT
LIMITED TO: LOSS OF INCOME OR
LOST PROFITS; ENGINE OR VEHICLE
DOWNTIME; THIRD PARTY DAMAGE,
INCLUDING DAMAGE OR LOSS TO
OTHER ENGINES, VEHICLES OR
PROPERTY, ATTACHMENTS, TRAILERS
AND CARGO; LOSS OR DAMAGE TO
PERSONAL CONTENTS;
COMMUNICATION EXPENSES;
LODGING AND/OR MEAL EXPENSES;
FINES; APPLICABLE TAXES OR
BUSINESS COSTS OR LOSSES;
ATTORNEYS’ FEES; AND ANY
LIABILITY YOU MAY HAVE IN RESPECT
TO ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY.
This warranty gives you specific legal
rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.
Emissions Warranty
Emissions coverage for all applications in
the United States.
This emission warranty applies to new
PACCAR engines marketed by PACCAR
that are used in the United States

in
vehicles designed for transporting persons
or property on a street or highway.
Coverage
PACCAR warrants to the first purchaser or
first lessee and each subsequent
purchaser that the engine is designed, built
and equipped so as to conform at the time
of sale by PACCAR with all U.S. Federal
emission regulations applicable at the time
of manufacture and that it is free from
defects in material or factory workmanship
which would cause it not to meet these
regulations within the longer of the
following periods: (A) Five years or
100,000 miles (160,935 kilometers) of
operation, whichever occurs first, as
measured from the date of delivery of the
engine to the first purchaser or first lessee
or (B) The base engine warranty
.
If the vehicle in which the engine is
installed is registered in the state of
California, a separate California Emissions
Control Warranty Statement on page 92
also applies. See California Emissions
Warranty.
Replacement Parts
PACCAR recommends that any service
parts used for maintenance, repair or
