TheenginemustbeturnedOFFto
enabletheAuto-Startfeature.You
cannotenableAuto-Startwhilethe
engineisrunning.TheAuto-Start
systemcanbeturnedonbypressing
andholdingtheenableswitchfor3
to10secondsafterallofthesafety
interlocksaresatised.Thedriver
informationdisplaywillcountdown
"3...2...1...Auto-StartEnabled"to
lettheoperatorknowthestatusofthe
system.
TurningAuto-StartOFF
TheAuto-Startsystemcanbeturned
offbyplacingthedashswitchinthe
lowestposition,tothedisablestate.
Auto-StartBehavior
TheAuto-Startfeaturemaintains
batterychargetothemainand
auxiliarybatteriesinadditionto
maintainingtheengineoiltemperature.
Whentheengineisshutoffandthe
Auto-Startsystemisturnedon,the
vehiclewillstarttheenginewhen
batterypercentstate-of-charge(SOC)
dropstoapredeterminedlevel.Once
thebatterychargereturnstonormal,
thesystemwillturntheengineoff.If
thesystemcannotrestarttheengine
withinthreeattempts,itwilllogafault
code,displayamessagetothedriver
andwilldisableitself.BatterySOCcan
befoundinthe"Gauges"menuofthe
driverinformationscreen.
TheEASsystemalsohastheability
tomonitorengineoiltemperature.
Whenthisoptionalfeatureisenabled
itwillmonitortheoiltemperature
andwillstarttheenginewhen
theoiltemperaturedropstoa
predeterminedtemperaturethreshold.
Thistemperaturecanbeadjusted
byyournearestdealer.Whenthe
Auto-Startsystemisenabledand
running,thevehicle'sparkinglamps
willbeilluminated.

TheAuto-Startfeaturewillnotoperate
theengineifitdeterminesitisunsafe
todoso.Someexamplesofthese
situationsarehoodopen,transmission
ingear,clutchengaged,parkbrakenot
set,orifanengineoremissionsfault
isdetected.
