Auto-Startwillnotenableunlessall
eightsafetyinterlocksaremet.The
systemwillimmediatelybedisabled
ifanyofthesafetyinterlocksare
triggered.
NOTE
Thevehiclehornwillnotimmedi-
atelysoundwhenthesystemis
enabled.Thehornwillmaketwo
short,consecutivehonks5sec-
ondsbeforetheenginestarts.The
Auto-Startalarmwillsoundonlyif
thedoorshavebeenopenedafter
engagingAuto-Startwiththedash
switch.
Additionally,thesystemwillbedisabled
ifanyofthefollowingconditionare
met:
•Footbrakeisdepressed.
•Parkingbrakedisengaged.
•Clutchpedaldepressed.
•Ignitionswitchturnedto"ON".
•Dashswitchsettodisable.
SleeperThermostat
TheEASsystemnowfeaturesan
optionalthermostat,mountedinthe
vehicle'ssleeper.Thisallowsthe
operatortocheckthestatusofthe
systemandtochangethetemperature
thresholdthattheEASmonitorsto
restarttheengine.
Whilethethermostatallows
convienienttemperaturechanges
fromthesleeper,theoperatormuststill
usethecontrolsinthevehicle'scabto
turntheEASsystemONandOFF.
DashSwitches
TheAuto-Startsystemswitchis
labeledwiththeword"Auto"andhas
apictureofanengineonit.Itisa
three-positionswitchwiththefollowing
assignments:
•Lowestpositiondisables
Auto-Start.
•Middlepositionisneutral.
•Highestpositionmomentarily
enablesAuto-Start(switchwill
returntothemiddlepositionwhen
released).
