NevertamperwiththeAuto-Start
systeminterlocks.Thesafetyinter-
locksaredesignedtopreventthe
enginefromstartingwhentheop-
eratormaybeinadangeroussitu-
ation,suchaswhileworkingunder
thevehicle’shood.Becertainall
safetyinterlocksareworkingcor-
rectlyandthatareallproperlyen-
gagedbeforeoperatingtheEngine
Auto-Start/Stopsystem.Failureto
complymayresultindeath,per-
sonalinjury,equipmentorproperty
damage.
WARNING!
AlwaysmakesureAuto-Startis
disabled(switchindownposition)
whenattemptingtoservicethe
truck.Failuretocomplymayresult
indeath,personalinjury,equip-
mentorpropertydamage.
TheEngineAuto-Start/Stop(EAS)
systemstartsandstopsthevehicle's
enginetomaintainoptimumbattery
state-of-chargeandcabsleeper
temperatures.
TheEASsystemwillstarttheengine
andkeepitrunningwhenanyofthe
followingconditionsaremet:
•Batteriesfallbelowapreset
voltage
•Engineoiltemperaturebecomes
toocool
•Sleepertemperaturedropsbelow
userpresetoraboveuserpreset
(optional).
NOTE
Ifthevehicleisequippedwithan
EsparSleeperHeatertheinterior
ofthevehiclewillbeheatedbythe
Esparunitinsteadofrunningthe
engine.
