could save you from a serious accident.
When multiple warning icons are shown on
the instrument cluster, they will appear at
first and then minimize. When minimized
they will be represented in the active
warnings area of the display. A triangle
represents a warning registered and a
diamond represents a check message.
WARNING
Do not ignore a warning light or audi-
ble alarm. These signals tell you
something is wrong with your vehicle.
It could be a failure in an important
system, such as the brakes, which
could lead to an accident causing
death or injury. Have the appropriate
system checked immediately.
Check messages are provided to give the
operator additional information regarding
systems that require attention due to a
system malfunction and/or operating
conditions that may hinder safe and proper
performance for the vehicle. The system
will emit a chime to alert the operator that a
message is appearing on the cluster. Some
messages can be managed by the
operator while others may require an
authorized dealer repair. In the following
table is a list of Warning Light/Indicator
Symbols that appear in the instrument
cluster and Driver Performance Center.
Each symbol has a unique name,
appearance, color when illuminated, and
whether the symbol is standard (Std) or
optional (Opt).
