towingvehicleswithdriver-control
maindifferentiallockcanresultin
damagebyfailingtolockinternal
componentsinposition.
WARNING!
Ensuretherearenoopenairlines
ontherecoveredvehicleifthere-
coveryvehicleandrecoveredvehicle
brakesystemsareconnected.An
openairlineontherecoveredvehi-
clewillcausealeakintheairbrake
systemoftherecoveryvehiclepos-
siblycausingdeath,personalinjury,
equipmentorpropertydamage.
CAUTION
Arecoveredvehiclewillhavenoop-
erationalbrakesystem.Additionally,
therearaxlespringbrakeswillprob-
ablybeapplied.
•Ifyoudesiretousetherecovered
vehicle’sbrakes,ensurethatthe
vehiclesairsystemisconnected
tothatoftherecoveryvehicle.
Alsoensurethatanyairline
thathasbeenremovedfroma
driver-controlledmaindifferential
lockisrmlycappedtoprevent
lossofairpressurefromthe
recoveryvehicle.
•Ifyoudon’tdesiretousethe
recoveredvehicle’sbrakes,
ensurethatyoucagethespring
brakesbeforeattemptingto
movethevehicle.
4.Installrecoveryhitchesand
rigging.
CAUTION
Connectrecoveryriggingonlyto
hitchesintendedforthatpurpose.
Donotattachtobumpersorbrack-
ets.Connectionstootherstructural
partscoulddamagethevehicle.
