valvetodeatetheairsprings.
Rotatetheheightcontrol
valve(s)manuallytoensure
positivecontrolofairspring
deation.
Tominimizeriskofdeathor
personalinjury,keepawayfrom
airspringsastheyarebeing
inated.
4.Rotatethevalveeitherclockwiseor
counterclockwiseuntilairpressurein
theairspringsprovidestherideheight
speciedforthatsuspension.Measure
therideheightfromthebottomofthe
framerailtotheapproximatecenterline
oftherearmostdriveaxlehub:
Fortandemaxles,makethe
verticalmeasurementatthe
centerlineofthesuspension(see
illustrationonpage4-58).
Forasingleaxle,makethe
measurementinfrontoftheaxle,
intheareaforwardofthetiresbut
notpastthesuspensionbracket.
5.Whenatthecorrectrideheight,
ensurethattheheightcontrolvalve
leverisintheneutralposition,then
installeitherthebuilt-inalignment
pinora1/8-inch(3mm)dowel(see
illustrationonpage4-58).
6.Torquethemountingfastenersto
55-75Lb.in.(6.2-8.5Nm.).
7.Removethealignmentpinordowel.
