CAUTION
Neverdriveyourvehicleonim-
provedroads/highwayswiththe
Off-RoadABSfunctionturnedon.
Whenyoudriveyourvehicleontoan
improvedroadsurfaceorhighway,
immediatelyturnofftheOff-Road
ABSswitch.Failuretodosowill
causetheABSsystemtonotfunc-
tionproperlyinanABSeventunder
25mphandcouldresultinanacci-
dentorpersonalinjury.
WARNING!
Whiletheoff-roadmodecanim-
provevehiclecontrolandshorten
stoppingdistances,somesteering
abilitymaybereducedoncertain
surfacesresultingfromthemomen-
tarilyslidingtires.Alwaysoper-
ateyourvehicleatsafeoperating
speeds.Failuretodosomaycause
youtolosecontrolofthevehicle
andcouldresultinanaccidentor
personalinjury.

Works
•TheABSlampashesslowly
duringoff-roadmodeengagement.
Thisisdonetoalertyouofa
modicationtotheABScontrol
software.
•Atspeedsabove25mph,theABS
controlleroperatesinthenormal
on-highwaymode.
•Atspeedsbetween10and25
mph,theABScontrolsoftwareis
modiedtoallowshortperiods
(0.25seconds)oflocked-wheel
cycles.
•Atspeedsbelow10mph,theABS
controlsoftwareisturnedoffto
allowlockedwheels.
•WhentheOff-RoadABSfunction
isenabled,theRetarderDisable
outputisturnedoff.Thatis,
theengineretardersareleftto
functionwithoutABSintervention.
