Theclutchisnotafootrest.Donot
drivewithyourfootrestingonthe
clutchpedal.Itwillallowyourclutchto
slip,causingexcessiveheatandwear,
damagecouldresult.
ReleaseBearingWear
Whenyoumustidleyourengineforany
periodoftime,shiftyourtransmission
toneutralanddisengagetheclutch
(takeyourfootOFFofthepedal).This
helpspreventunnecessarywearto
yourclutchreleasebearing,anditis
lesstiringforyou,too.

makingupshiftsordownshifts.
•Alwaysselectastartinggear
thatwillprovidesufcientgear

disengaged.
•Toprovidesmoothgear
engagementswhileshifting,
usepropercoordinationbetween
shiftleverandclutch.
Doubleclutchingisaveryeffective
meanstoincreasetheservicelifeof
yourtransmission.Doubleclutching
referstoatechniquewheretheclutch
pedalisusedtwicepershiftinsteadof
once.Italsorequiresthatyouadjust
theenginerpminthemiddleofthe
shiftwhichultimatelysynchronizesthe
gearsduringshifting.Synchronizing
