Operating Automatic Transmissions
An automatic transmission makes shifting much easier,
however it is important to understand how to operate the
transmission efficiently. Please read the transmission
manufacturer’s operation manual supplied with your vehi-
cle.
There may not be a “park” position with your automatic
transmission. Always be sure you apply the parking brake
before leaving the cab.
WARNING!
Do not leave the cab of your vehicle
without applying the parking brake. The truck
could roll and cause an accident resulting in
death or personal injury. Always apply the park-
ing brake before you leave the cab.
