engineering judgment shows that the
modification will improve safety or will not
increase greenhouse gases.

Leakage Standards
Loss of refrigerant from the air conditioning
systems may not exceed a total leakage
rate of 1
1.0 grams per year or a percent
leakage rate of 1.50 percent per year,
whichever is greater. This vehicle was built
to meet this air conditioning leakage
standards. Any modification of the air
conditioning system must comply with
leakage rates defined in SAE J2727.

Modifying a vehicle’s certified configu-
ration
without good engineering judg-
ment or PACCAR’s approval may be a
violation of the Clean Air Act and sub-
ject to fines and penalties. Please con-
