innerviewwindowmustberemoved
formaintenancecleaningand/or
damage.Followthisprocedurewhen
installingandremovinganinnerview
window.Therecommendedtoolfor
removaloftheglassisaglassstick,
althoughothertoolsmaybeused
providedpropercautionisobserved.
CAUTION
Theuseofscrewdrivers,gasket
tools,knivesorothersimilarin-
strumentsmaydamagethesealor
breaktheglass.Useaglassstick
asatoolwheneverpossiblewhen
removingorinstallingawindow.If
anothertoolmustbeused,exercise
extremecarewhenperformingthis
procedurewithsuchatool.
NOTE
Alwaysmakesurethatagasketis
installedproperlysotheweepslots
willbeindexedcorrectly.Thenotch
inthegasketistofaceforwardon
theRHside.Thisplacestheweep
slotsatthebottomofthewindow
opening(seenextillustration).There
isaridgeonthebottomsurfaceof
thegasket(seenextillustration).
Installtheglassoutboardofthis
ridge.Thepolishedsatinnishon
theglass,whichleavesarounded
edge,restsagainsttheedgeofthe
ridge.Theinstallationandremoval
willbeeasierbyusingwaterorsoap
asalubricantontheedgeofthe
glass.
Toinstallawindow,slidetheglass
fromtherearofthedoortowardthe
removalslotuntiltheforwardedgeof
theglassisagainsttheinsideedgeof
theseal(seenextillustration;arrow
indicatesforward).
