containcarbonmonoxide,acolor-
lessandodorlessgas.Apoorly
maintained,damaged,orcorroded
exhaustsystemcanallowcar-
bonmonoxidetoenterthecabor
sleeper.Failuretoproperlymain-
tainyourvehiclecouldcausecar-
bonmonoxidetoenterthecaband
causedeath,personalinjuryorseri-
ousillness.

Neveridleyourvehicleforprolonged
periodsoftimeifyousensethatex-
haustfumesareenteringthecab.
Investigatethecauseofthefumes
andcorrectitassoonaspossible.
Ifthevehiclemustbedrivenunder
theseconditions,driveonlywiththe
windowsslightlyopen.Failuretore-
pairthesourceoftheexhaustfumes
mayleadtodeath,personalinjuryor
seriousillness.
NOTE
Keeptheengineexhaustsystem
andthevehicle’scabventilation
systemproperlymaintained.Itis
recommendedthatthevehicle’sex-
haustsystemandcabbeinspected:
•Byacompetenttechnicianevery
15,000miles/24,000km,
•Wheneverachangeisnoticedin
thesoundoftheexhaustsystem,
•Whenevertheexhaustsystem,
underbody,caborsleeperis
damaged.
NOTE
Useonlyanexactreplacementparts
inAftertreatmentexhaustsystem.
Usinganoncompliantreplacement
partcouldviolateemissionsrequire-
mentsandalsovoidtheemission
system’swarranty.
