specicationsformoststeeringshafts.
•T orqueonU-jointpinchboltand
nut(7/16in)74–81Nm(55to60
lb-ft),lubricated.
•T orqueonPitmanarmclampbolt
andnut(3/4in):406–433Nm(300
to320lb-ft),lubricated.
•Foroff-highwayvehicles,tighten
theU-boltsaftertherstdayortwo
ofoperation.Thencheckweekly.
WARNING!
Ifthischassisisequippedwithan
electronicstabilitysystem(ESP)and
anypartofthesteeringsystem(e.g.,
linkage,steeringdriveline,column,
front-endalignment,etc)isrepaired,
removed,ordisassembledinany
way,orifthesteeringanglesensoris
replaced,thesteeringanglesensor
mustberecalibrated.Anyrepairsor
adjustmentstoanypartofthesteer-
ingsystemmustbeperformedbyan
authorizeddealer.Failuretocomply
mayresultindeath,personalinjury,
equipmentorpropertydamage.
