providescomfortforthoseinthecab
throughaccuratecontrolofthecab
environmentinallweatherconditions.
Regularattentiontotheitemsbelow
willhelpyoukeeptheheater-air
conditionerunitrunningwell.
Keepthevehicle'sventilationsystem,
engineexhaustsystemandcab
jointsproperlymaintained.Itis
recommendedthatthevehicle's
exhaustsystemandcabbeserviced
asfollows:
•Inspectedbyacompetent
technicianevery15,000miles
•Wheneverachangeisnoticedin
thesoundoftheexhaustsystem
•Whenevertheexhaustsystem,
underbodyorcabisdamaged
Toallowforproperoperationofthe
vehicleventilationsystem,proceedas
follows:
•Keeptheinletgrilleatthebaseof
thewindshieldclearofsnow,ice,
leavesandotherobstructionsat
alltimes.
•Keeptheexhaustpipeareaclear
tohelpreducethebuildupof
exhaustgasunderthevehicle.
•Checkthedraintubeofthefresh
airinletfortrappedwaterbefore
assumingthatthereisaleakinthe
heatingsystem.

WARNING!
Excessiveheatmaycausethepres-
surizedcomponentsoftheaircon-
ditioningsystemtoexplode.Never
weld,solder,steamclean,orusea
blowtorchnearanypartoftheair
conditioningsystem.Failuretocom-
plymayresultindeath,personalin-
jury,equipmentorpropertydamage.

Airconditioningrefrigerantcanbe
hazardoustoyourhealth.Donot
exposeyourselftoleakingrefriger-
antforprolongedperiodsnearex-
cessiveheat,openames,orwith-
outproperventilation.Failuretodo
somayresultindeathorpersonalin-

opename,hazardousgasesmaybe
