NOTE
Followtheinstructionsthatcome
withyourbatterycharger.
•Itisnotnecessarytoremovethe
batteryfromthecompartment.
WARNING!
Chargercablesmustbeconnected
positivetopositive(+to+)andneg-
ativetonegative(-to-).Ifcon-
nectedimproperly,batteriescould
explode.Failuretocomplymayre-
sultindeath,personalinjury,equip-
mentorpropertydamage.
WARNING!
Alwaysmakesurethebattery
chargerisOFFbeforeconnecting
ordisconnectingthecableclamps.
Toreducethedangerofexplosions
andresultingdeathorpersonalin-
jury,donotconnectordisconnect
chargercableswhilethechargeris
operating.
1.Disconnectthebatterycables.
2.Connectchargercables.
3.Startchargingthebatteryatarate
notover6amperes.Normally,a
batteryshouldbechargedatno
morethan10percentofitsrated
capacity.
4.Aftercharging,turnOFFcharger
anddisconnectchargercables.

Precautions
Takethefollowingprecautionsto
avoidburningoutalternatordiodes:
•Donotstarttheengine
withalternatordisconnected
(connectionsremoved)fromthe
circuit.
•Beforewelding,disconnectall
electronicconnectionstothe
vehiclebatteries.
•Removebatterypowercableand
insulateitfromthevehicle.
•Donotruntheenginewiththe
batteriesdisconnected.
•Donotdisconnectthebattery
cablesoralternatorconnection
cableswiththeenginerunning.
•Neverturntheignitionswitchfrom
theONpositiontotheSTART
positionwiththeenginerunning.
