Followtheprocedurebelowtoreinstall
batteriesonthevehicle:
1.Placebatteriesinvehicleand
tightenboltofholdingplate.
2.Reconnectpositivecable.
3.Reconnectground(negative)
groundcable.
WARNING!
Batteryreplacementmayalteror
disturbbatterycablerouting.Check
toinsurebatterycablesarefree
fromanypointofchafng.Failure
tocomplymayresultindeath,per-
sonalinjury,equipmentorproperty
damage.
ReplacingPartsRemovedfor
Access
1.Replacebatterycover.
2.Install2boltsinstepstrut.Torque
to24-32lb-ft(33-43Nm).
3.Installfairingandinstall4bolts.
Torqueto6-7lb-ft(8-9Nm).
4.Installstepsbyinstalling2boltsin
eachstep.T orqueto24-32lb-ft
(33-43Nm).
WARNING!
Alwaysreinstallthestepsbeforeen-
teringthecab.Withoutthestepsyou
couldslipandfall,resultinginpossi-
bleinjurytoyourself.
WARNING!
Fairingsnotinstalledproperlycould
comelooseandcauseothermo-
toriststohaveaninjuryaccident.It
isimportantthatfairingsbeinstalled
properly.Failuretocomplymayre-
sultindeath,personalinjury,equip-
mentorpropertydamage.
WARNING!
Beforeattemptinganyworkonthe
batteriesorelectricalsystem,re-
movealljewelry.Ifmetaljewelryor
othermetalcomesincontactwith
electricalcircuits,ashortcircuitmay
occurcausingyoutobeinjured,as
wellaselectricalsystemfailureand
damage.
