Introduction
Theclutchpedaltransmitsforcefrom
theoperatortotheclutchviahydraulic
andairassistaction.Theclutchpedal
positionisfactorysetanddoesnot
requireadjustment.
ClutchHydraulicFluid
Visuallyinspecttheclutchuidfromthe
reservoir.Therearemoldedlineswith
thelettersMINtoindicateminimum
uidlevelandMAXtoindicatethe
maximumuidlevelrecommendedfor
properoperation.Besuretomaintain
theuidbetweentheMINandMAX
levelsindicatedontheplasticreservoir.
Iftheuidlevelrepeatedlygoesbelow
theMINline,thenitistimetohave
yourclutchadjustedorthehydraulic
systemtobeinspectedforservice.
Toreplacetheuid,locatethedrain
ttingontheairsolenoidmountedto
thetransmissionhousing.Openthis
ttingandallowuidtodrainoutofthe
system.Oncealltheuidisdrained
out,closethettingandllthesystem
throughthemastercylinderreservoir
intheenginecompartment.Oncethe
systemisfull,thenpurgethesystemof
airbysimultaneouslypressingonthe
pedalandopeningthettingtoallow
airtoescape.Closethettingwhen
uidstartscomingout.Thenrellthe
reservoir.Repeatthisuntilallairhas
beenpurgedfromthesystem.
