Introduction
Theclutchpedaltransmitsforcefrom
theoperatortotheclutchviahydraulic
andairassistaction.Theclutchpedal
positionisfactorysetanddoesnot
requireadjustment.
ClutchHydraulicFluid
Visuallyinspecttheclutchuidfromthe
reservoir.Therearemoldedlineswith
thelettersMINtoindicateminimum
uidlevelandMAXtoindicatethe
maximumuidlevelrecommendedfor
properoperation.Besuretomaintain
theuidbetweentheMINandMAX
levelsindicatedontheplasticreservoir.
Iftheuidlevelrepeatedlygoesbelow
theMINline,thenitistimetohave
yourclutchadjustedorthehydraulic
systemtobeinspectedforservice.
Toreplacetheuid,locatethedrain
ttingontheairsolenoidmountedto
thetransmissionhousing.Openthis
ttingandallowuidtodrainoutofthe
system.Oncealltheuidisdrained
out,closethettingandllthesystem
throughthemastercylinderreservoir
intheenginecompartment.Oncethe
systemisfull,thenpurgethesystemof
airbysimultaneouslypressingonthe
pedalandopeningthettingtoallow
airtoescape.Closethettingwhen
uidstartscomingout.Thenrellthe
reservoir.Repeatthisuntilallairhas
beenpurgedfromthesystem.
