Regularattentiontotheitemsbelow
willhelpyoukeeptheheater-air
conditionerunitrunningwell.
Keepthevehicle'sventilationsystem,
engineexhaustsystemandcab
jointsproperlymaintained.Itis
recommendedthatthevehicle's
exhaustsystemandcabbeserviced
asfollows:
•Inspectedbyacompetent
technicianevery15,000miles
•Wheneverachangeisnoticedin
thesoundoftheexhaustsystem
•Whenevertheexhaustsystem,
underbodyorcabisdamaged
Toallowforproperoperationofthe
vehicleventilationsystem,proceedas
follows:
•Keeptheinletgrilleatthebaseof
thewindshieldclearofsnow,ice,
leavesandotherobstructionsat
alltimes.
•Keeptheexhaustpipeareaclear
tohelpreducethebuildupof
exhaustgasunderthevehicle.
•Checkthedraintubeofthefresh
airinletfortrappedwaterbefore
assumingthatthereisaleakinthe
heatingsystem.
SpecialPrecautions
WARNING
Excessiveheatmaycausethe
pressurizedcomponentsoftheair
conditioningsystemtoexplode.
Neverweld,solder,steamclean,
oruseablowtorchnearanypart
oftheairconditioningsystem.
Failuretocomplymayresultin
death,personalinjury,equipmentor
propertydamage.
WARNING
Airconditioningrefrigerantcan
behazardoustoyourhealth.Do
notexposeyourselftoleaking
refrigerantforprolongedperiods
nearexcessiveheat,openames,
orwithoutproperventilation.Failure
todosomayresultindeathor
personalinjury.
