Exhaustfumesfromtheengine
containcarbonmonoxide,a
colorlessandodorlessgas.Do
notbreathetheengineexhaust
gas.Apoorlymaintained,damaged
orcorrodedexhaustsystemcan
allowcarbonmonoxidetoenterthe
cab.Entryofcarbonmonoxideinto
thecabisalsopossiblefromother
vehiclesnearby.Failuretoproperly
maintainyourvehiclecouldcause
carbonmonoxidetoenterthecab
andcausedeathorpersonalinjury.
WARNING
Neveridleyourvehicleforprolonged
periodsoftimeifyousensethat
exhaustfumesareenteringthecab.
Investigatethecauseofthefumes
andcorrectitassoonaspossible.
Ifthevehiclemustbedrivenunder
theseconditions,driveonlywiththe
windowsopen.Failuretorepair
thesourceoftheexhaustfumes
mayresultindeath,personalinjury,
equipmentorpropertydamage.
NOTE
Keeptheengineexhaustsystem
andthevehiclescabventilation
systemproperlymaintained.Itis
recommendedthatthevehicles
exhaustsystemandcabbe
inspected:
•Byacompetenttechnicianevery
15,000miles
•Wheneverachangeisnoticedin
thesoundoftheexhaustsystem
•Whenevertheexhaustsystem,
underbodyorcabisdamaged
